I’ve been experimenting with cold emailing targeting property owners, and I’m looking to gather some insights from others who’ve had success with it.
I’ve had some experience with cold email in a B2B setting, so I’m fairly confident in my ability to maintain good deliverability rates. However, when it comes to skip traced leads (using Quality Skips, known for accurate data), I’m not seeing the success I expected.
I suspect it comes down to matching personal emails vs. commercial emails. My success rate with reaching personal owner emails hasn’t been great. Lots of mismatched/nonexistent emails.
I’ve heard about Meir Shemtov and others having success with cold emailing and wanted to ask: how are you all using cold email in your strategies? What’s working for you in terms of cold email? Are you targeting more personal vs. commercial owners? Are you having quite a bit of bounces? Is that just part of the game? Am I missing something?
Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated—especially if you’ve had success with cold emailing in a similar space!
This is a great question. I’ve also wondered how B2B tactics transfer to a setting like wholesaling.
I haven’t invested time into it because I feel the relationship people have with their email accounts is different in a B2B vs “B2C” setting.
Personally, my email account is a wasteland with promotional emails. The inbox is never at 0 and I use some of those email addresses to get free resources. If I need to find an email I’m expecting, then I use the search function to search for the email sender - I wouldn’t scroll through my emails and accidently stumble upon a cold email. It would be near impossible for someone to get my attention through one of my personal email accounts.
However, my business email account is always clean and tidy and you are way more likely to get my attention in there.
I would love to be wrong, so it will be great to see what other people are saying.
You mentioned @shemtov , he and I had in-depth conversation about how he does this. If you’re interested in this marketing channel, I’m 100% sure you’ll get something out of this.
