I have a 1600 sq ft. 2 family house ( 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms,) with excellant rental history…I’m thinking it may be of more value as a single family but would need virtally entire renovation. Does anyone have a range of cost?
@redandwhite interesting. I’ve always heard of people trying to convert in the other direction (going from a single-family to a duplex). Are the comps for single-family rentals really that much higher in your area?
I would think the range of cost depends entirely on what you’re trying to do. It would be hard to give any meaningful feedback on that without a pretty detailed before and after plan.
