I am new to land investing and currently live in Alabama. Does anyone have any experience with delinquent properties or state owned properties? I figure it would be easier to start with a place I know and develop my skills before trying to move on to other areas. Any help is appreciated.
@risbell I’ve worked in Alabama, but not specifically with tax-delinquent or state-owned properties. Did you have any specific questions about that state?
@retipsterseth Well not anything specific at the moment. I am still getting a feel for this. From what I gather so far the main thing is getting in touch with the assessor in the county you are looking to buy and seeing what properties are behind on taxes? Preferably out of state owners and call them and see if they would be willing to sell.
