Flow Chart for action steps

As I’m working through the course (and admittedly getting a little overwhelmed), I realized that probably a Flow Chart with action steps listed in order would be very helpful to me. Not action steps for the course - that’s very well outlined - I mean as you work the business from figuring out what counties to zero in on to completion of the sale. I think it would be helpful to me to see this visually written out in a flow chart form.

So before I attempt to do that myself, I thought it might be wise to ask if anybody else has done that, and if so, would be willing to share it. And please also let me know if I’m missing it somewhere in all the resources in the course. Thanks so much!

I haven’t done this yet but have considered it as I get further and start to hire. Mermaid is a good easy way to do this quickly. Great idea though.

Thanks for sharing the idea, @PrattFamily. I’d love to create what you’re looking for here. I am curious to understand more about where the gaps in your understanding are.

For example, when you see this flow chart, are there specific action steps you feel are missing? Or are there certain ones that you think could use a separate sub-flowchart to better explain what is happening inside each one?

Hi Austin - thanks for the reply. I’m not familiar with Mermaid but started checking it out. Looks really interesting! Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi Seth - Thanks for the reply! Yes, this encompasses a lot of what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing it (and sorry if I somehow missed it in all the materials). That’s a good question about whether I’d put in any sub-flowcharts. I possibly would just to keep it as detailed as possible (to keep myself organized) - let me think through that more and get back to you.

I’m hoping to take a flow chart like this and also turn it into a checklist for each lead we get so that we are staying organized on when an action is taken and by whom. But yes, this flow chart is great. I’m a very visual person so this is right down my alley! Thanks again!

Hi again Seth - My quick followup after looking more at your link that you shared with the Land Flipping 101 (a beginner’s guide), is that for us personally, some of the bullet points you have under each step could be good sub-flowcharts. I really like that resource and am going to give it more thought on which bullet points could add value to the flow chart to help stay organized. Thanks!

Hey ,right there with you…I am new myself, and learn visually as well. I Just learned to scrub data.I find the more I just keep reading blogs, and reviewing notes, keeps me in the “mindset”. I think just getting through that first mailer, and getting on the phone, and ultimately the first acquisition, will be a key relief of initial anxiety. Reach out if you need to. Best of luck.

Hi Michael - Great advice! We are doing this as a family and I’m probably the weak link, lol, so I need to stay out of the weeds and keep moving forward. And then, like you said, I’ll feel a lot more confident. Thanks for the reply!
