Is it okay to buy a land contract deed?

Hi
I found a good off-market land deal, but the deed is listed as a ‘land contract.’ Is it okay to buy a land contract deed?

Without knowing any other information it sounds like that property was sold with seller financing, which means the deed is still held by the seller while the buyer is paying it off.

I’m not sure who you’re negotiating with in this process (the buyer or the seller), but either way, it doesn’t sound like the title isn’t clear on this one.
