New year, new opportunities. I’m curious what you’re all working toward in your businesses this year.
Maybe you’re trying to close your first deal or hit a certain number of transactions? Maybe you want to finally get that direct mail campaign off the ground, or transition from doing deals here and there to making this a full-time thing? Or maybe you’re looking to tackle a new market or try a different acquisition strategy?
Whatever it is, I’d love to hear what you’re aiming for in 2026. And if you’ve got a plan for how you’re going to get there, even better.

Double my deal volume AND take more time off. Sounds contradictory but I think if I systematize things better it’s possible. Last year I did 20 deals but worked myself into the ground. Want to hit at least 30 deals while actually taking weekends off and maybe a real vacation for once.
Finally going to hire a VA this year. I’ve been doing everything myself and it’s killing me. Spending way too much time on stuff that someone else could handle for $4/hour while I should be focused on finding deals and talking to sellers.
I also want to start working with a partner or two. I’m good at finding deals but terrible at following through on the selling side. If I could team up with someone who’s good at marketing and closing sales, I think we could both make more money than working solo.
