Thoughts on a real estate investment training program?

I have been investing for the past year and a half in vacant lots, and now own about forty across four states. I have learned an enormous amount–indeed, I could not have done this without that educational process. I am now interested in learning about what is involved in buying single and multi-family properties, and financing those purchases.

Someone recommended to me the training in real estate investment offered by LIfestyles Unlimited. It costs $300. Has anyone taken it? Their introductory webinar, which I have watched, is an hour-long informercial which has left me unimpressed. Topics include 1) The limitations and job insecurity you face in a normal job; 2) the problems with alternative paths you can take; 3) the fabulous results achieved by people who have taken their course; 4) individual success stories; 5) details of the success you can expect. If you want to learn about the skills that must be mastered to achieve all the above–well, for the next two days–you must act fast!–you can buy the course for only $300.

I realize that the fact that I found this infomercial very off putting (can you tell?), oddly enough, does not mean that the course itself is bad. The owner of Lifestyles Unlimited could have been mislead into creating this introductory webinar by bad marketing advice. It was recommended to me by someone who, to my knowledge, was not shilling for the company and I want to keep an open mind.

So I am throwing this out to the community, and I hope someone will have comments. If there is another course you would recommend instead, by all means let me know.

Hey @syasturi , I don’t know anything about the course you’re referring to, but I’m looking to do more multi-family investing in 2026 and networked with a few people who are doing it already. Everyone that I talked to said the best thing I can do is to join a mastermind that has people who are already doing deals and try to JV with them to learn the ropes and buy properties at the same time. There are a few I’m evaluating now (one is Marco Barbaro…Gino’s brother) and they all cost around 10-15k per year. Not sure which one I’m going to go with, but the ones that I think are worth their cost typically are going to be much more than $300. Hope that helps and best of luck!
